For example, you can slot a level 1 or level 2 Decoration in a Level 2 Decoration Slot. Higher level decorations slots allow you to use lower level decorations. Decoration Slot Level has no impact on your skill level, they are only meant to limit what type of decorations/skills you can use in a weapon/armor slot.

Decorations in Monster Hunter Rise (MHR or MHRise) can be placed into Weapons and Armor to gain or enhance Skills.
